Abstract

Vinyl records are music media whose sound is much clearer with better hi-fidelity quality than compact discs, cassettes, or listening to music through digital streaming services. In some western countries such as England and America, sales of vinyl records reached their highest point during the COVID-19 pandemic since 2020, including Indonesia. This increase in sales occurred because many people could not go to music concerts in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, so they bought more vinyl records and listen to it at home because the sound quality of the vinyl records is close to the music of the band performing at the concert so it's as if the band is performing in front of us. The vinyl records are no longer a recording medium that is not only enjoyed by the senior generation but also millennials and Gen Z and has become a pop culture enjoyed by all generations.
