Gambaran corticophobia pada pasien psoriasis Indonesia: Studi berbasis TOPICOP

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Corticophobia adalah kekakutan atau kekhawatiran terhadap kortikosteroid topikal (topical corticosteroids, TCS), terutama terhadap efek sampingnya, seperti penipisan kulit. Dampak yang paling dikhawatirkan dengan corticophobia adalah ketidakpatuhan terhadap pengobatan TCS. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari gambaran corticophobia di Indonesia yang belum pernah dilakukan sebelumnya.

Metode: Sebuah kuesioner disebar pada story Instagram pada akun Instagram dari organisasi Psoriasis Indonesia @psoriasis_id. Kuesionernya berisi identitas pasien, diagnosis kualitatif corticophobia, riwayat penggunaan TCS, dan kuesioner TOPICOP yang telah diterjemahkan ke bahasa Indonesia. Kriteria inklusi adalah pasien atau orang tua pasien psoriasis.

Hasil: Sebanyak 204 responden yang telah memenuhi kriteria inklusi diminta untuk mengisi kuesioner. Prevalensi corticophobia adalah 76% dengan nilai rerata TOPICOP 68,3%, keduanya relatif tinggi dibanding negara lainnya. Domain dengan nilai TOPICOP tertinggi adalah domain kekhawatiran, sedangkan item dengan nilai TOPICOP tertinggi adalah “Saya memerlukan kepastian keamanan penggunaan TCS.” Pada penelitian ini, perempuan juga secara konsisten memiliki prevalensi corticophobia dan nilai TOPICOP lebih tinggi pada setiap populasi.

Simpulan: Intervensi yang sesuai terdiri dari edukasi yang tepat dan menjaga hubungan dokter-pasien harus dilakukan pada pasien dengan atau berisiko mengalami corticophobia, dan penelitian corticophobia di Indonesia yang lebih luas dengan jumlah sampel lebih besar dan pada populasi lain masih dibutuhkan.
