Deteksi molekuler high-risk human papillomavirus pada wanita berisiko tinggi di Kota Jayapura, Papua

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Infeksi high-risk human papillomavirus (HR-HPV) merupakan penyebab utama kanker serviks. Data molekuler lokal pada populasi kunci di Indonesia bagian timur masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeteksi DNA HR-HPV dan mendeskripsikan distribusi HPV 16, HPV 18, dan HR-HPV non-16/18 pada wanita pekerja seks (WPS) di Kota Jayapura.

Metode: Studi potong lintang ini melibatkan 30 WPS. Swab serviks diperiksa dengan real-time polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) menggunakan assay yang mendeteksi HPV 16 dan HPV 18 secara terpisah serta melaporkan 12 genotipe HR-HPV lain sebagai kelompok gabungan non-16/18. Karakteristik responden dianalisis secara deskriptif.

Hasil: DNA HR-HPV terdeteksi pada 10 dari 30 responden (33,3%). Seluruh hasil positif berada pada kelompok non-16/18, sedangkan HPV 16 dan HPV 18 tidak terdeteksi. Sebanyak 25 responden (83,3%) belum pernah menerima vaksin HPV dan 15 responden (50,0%) melaporkan tidak pernah menggunakan kondom.

Kesimpulan: HR-HPV terdeteksi pada sepertiga responden dan seluruh hasil positif termasuk kelompok non-16/18. Temuan ini mendukung penggunaan skrining DNA HPV yang mampu mendeteksi spektrum HR-HPV secara luas dan layanan pencegahan terintegrasi. Interpretasi temuan dibatasi oleh ukuran sampel purposif yang kecil serta keterbatasan uji dalam mengidentifikasi genotipe individual non-16/18.
