Analisis Kinerja Industri Dalam Perumusan Kebijakan Pengembangan Industri Bahan Baku Plastik di Indonesia

The plastic polymer industry plays a strategic role but faces challenges such as low production utilization and intense competition from imported products. This journal discusses the results of a performance analysis of the plastic raw material industry using data from the Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS), Sistem Informasi Industri Nasional (SIINas) and verifying plastic producers to evaluate installed capacity, production, domestic demand, and import trends. The analysis reveals opportunities to optimize local production capacity and substitute imports. This data is employed in a SWOT analysis to formulate development strategies, including increasing production capacity, diversifying products, and strengthening stakeholder synergy. These strategies are translated into priority policies, such as investment incentives and import regulations. This approach is expected to reduce import dependence, enhance competitiveness, and sustainably meet domestic needs.
