Abstract

Lightning protection system are systems designed to protect buildings and structures from the hazardous effects of lightning by safely diverting the electrical energy generated by lightning into the ground. This assessment aims to evaluate the existing lightning protection system at the Fuel Terminal Medan - Belawan site and provide improvement recommendations for both the Internal & External Lightning Protection System at PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagut. This includes: Protection Methods, Equipment Types, Equipment Specifications, Equipment Quantity, and Installation Points required to achieve adequate lightning protection in accordance with applicable standards, presented in the form of a master plan document.
