Abstract

Feed Flour and Industrial Flour are produced by flour mills. This journal is for research in increasing yield in the production of Feed Flour and Industrial Flour in the milling process with a capacity of 500 tons of wheat per day. From the results of data analysis before improvement, the Feed Flour yield was 77.64% and the Industrial Flour yield was 3.62% with a total of 81.3%. The target to be achieved refers to the determination of the Business Unit standard of 83% of the total yield produced in the milling process. The implementation of corrective actions taken for improvement is to add a diverting valve to the bran finisher outlet line along with its pipe line to the industrial flour line, modify the 280 micron screen to 132 microns so that the C7 plansifter compartment has 3 flour blocks (F1, F2 & F3) along with making its product line and replacing the C6 & C9 plansifter screen from 118 microns to 132 microns. From this improvement, the yield increase was obtained by 2.6% so that the total yield became 83.9% consisting of Feed Flour yield of 78.2% and Industrial Flour yield of 4.88%.
