In the oil and gas industry, technical inspections and safety checks must be conducted on every installation and equipment to ensure safety, security, and reliability of oil and gas operations. The methods or mechanisms used refer to the Decision of the Director of Engineering and Environment of MIGAS No.199.K/HK.02/DMT/2024 regarding the Mechanism for Technical Inspection and Safety Checks. Corrosive cable connections, particularly on grounding cables, can affect grounding values and cause the grounding cables to malfunction. Therefore, regular checks need to be conducted, both physical inspections and grounding value measurements. In addition to technical re-certification inspections, maintenance and regular checks on electrical equipment need to be performed in accordance with legal regulations, technical specifications, and applicable standards, and documentation and storage of the activity reports must be carried out. In operating electrical equipment, it is essential to comply with Safety, Health, Work, and Environmental Protection (K3LL) aspects in every activity, such as the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), like ear protection, which should always be worn when operating a power generator. This is to prevent hearing loss due to the loud noise of the generator.
