Abstract

 One of the media can be used to improve customer’s brand recognition is
souvenirs which depict the company's identity. Unique and interesting souvenirs
will make a special impression on consumers. PT Panasonic Gobel Indonesia
(PGI) is currently planning to create unique souvenirs for both company guests
and employees. This souvenir is planned to be made of chocolate using the
company logo. The problem in the plan to make this souvenir is the need for
several alternative souvenirs in 3D or 2.5D form, using company logos that have
never been translated into 3D or 2.5D in detail. This research will focus on
efforts to build a design and prototype for chocolate souvenirs to meet the needs
of PT Panasonic Gobel Indonesia and is planned in 3D or 2.5D form. Product
design is carried out using ArtCAM Pro software to obtain detailed textures and
reliefs of chocolate, while the prototyping process will be carried out using the
Subtractive Rapid Prototyping (SRP) method using a Computer Numerical
Control (CNC) machine to obtain precise results according to the design. The
final results of the research are a 2.5D PT PGI souvenir chocolate design, a
prototype chocolate mold pattern made from pine wood with dimensions of 260
x 200 x 25 mm, a chocolate mold prototype made from rigid polyvinyl chloride
(PVC) sheet plastic with a thickness of 0.5 mm, and a 2.5D chocolate prototype
with dimensions 216 x 136 x 20.5 mm.
