Abstract

This study investigated the effect of sealing load on the pressing bolts of the Akash sachet machine used at PT Unilever Indonesia. Using Fuji film as a pressure indicator, the pressure distribution on the sealing surface was analyzed and converted into quantitative force data. Subsequently, we calculated the load received by each bolt and compared it to the maximum tensile strength of the bolts through tensile testing. The results showed that the load applied to each bolt is well below the material's yield strength, confirming the bolts’ capability to perform safely and reliably under operational conditions. These findings provided insight into optimizing sealing performance and ensuring the mechanical reliability of the machine.
