This article presents an evaluation activity to address the production of sand as an undesirable issue in oil production wells. This causes damage to surface facilities and downhole equipment, as well as a decrease in well efficiency. The work performed with Matrix Acidising began by using acid and the main chemical Flooding Sensitive Gel (FSG), which aims to bind sand particles within the well reservoir to the productive formation and increase permeability around the wellbore. After that, it was followed by a holding period of 24 hours and then the installation of an artificial lift pump to enable production. Additionally, the importance of calculating the safety zone and selecting the appropriate testing equipment to ensure workplace safety and the accuracy of results was discussed. The test results show that the productivity index (PI) and flow efficiency (FE) parameters increased in value, while the skin factor (S) parameter decreased.
