Abstract

The background for writing this journal is to examine problems that often occur in the construction of retaining wall structures. Where observations in the field really determine the method decisions that will be taken. The purpose of the discussion in this journal is to find conditions that are often ignored and examine problems that often occur, as well as provide solutions for repair/reconstruction and initial construction for the next project. The methodology used is a case study directly at the location, observation of field data and research data, and an assessment of the steps that must be taken. The results of the research we conducted are that reconstruction is needed for retaining walls that have partially collapsed or those that are still standing intact. The conclusion from our review is the need for careful analysis and calculations of construction, in this case the construction of retaining walls; and the use of materials according to specifications is very important to pay attention to. Where we hope that the solutions we provide can become a shared learning and contribute to future work.
