Abstract

Diaphragm wall (D-Wall) in underground structures, such as Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) stations, often face problems of groundwater infiltration issues through construction joints or concrete cracks. These leaks have the potential to cause structural damage (reinforcement corrosion), disrupt work schedules, and cause operational disruptions. This study aims to documentation and analyzes the water leakage repair methods applied to the D-Walls at Thamrin and Monas Station of the Jakarta MRT Phase 2A Project. The method used is a two-stage injection using polyurethane (PUR) resin. This method involves drilling the leak point at a 45-degree angle, installing a packer, injecting water-reactive PUR to temporarily stop the water flow (Sika Injection-101 h), followed by injecting elastic PUR resin for permanent sealing (Sika Injection-201 CE). The analysis results show that PUR injection is a fast, effective, and flexible non-structural solution for addressing active leaks underground with high water pressure, providing a long-term waterproof solution without requiring massive structural demolition.
