This article aims to analyze the role of engineers in implementing the Green Infrastructure Management (GIM) concept through a structured case study of the Green House Café development project in Kemuning Village, Karanganyar Regency. The novelty of this study lies in the integration of engineering practices, community empowerment—particularly youth organizations—and spatial analysis using a Geographic Information System (GIS) within a rural context. The study adopts a case study approach with participatory methods, encompassing situational analysis, environmentally oriented design planning, implementation of green technologies, and continuous community assistance. GIS was employed to assess site suitability based on topography, accessibility, and environmental considerations, supporting informed decision-making in sustainable land utilization. The results indicate that the application of GIM contributes to the optimization of abandoned land, the creation of productive activities for rural youth, and the enhancement of environmental awareness. This study is expected to serve as a practical model for sustainable development based on the professional role of engineers that can be adapted and replicated in other rural areas.
