Learning diesel fuel injection systems in vocational education is often constrained by safety risks and cost inefficiencies when using live engines, as well as the limitations in visualizing abstract atomization phenomena. This study aims to design and build a prototype of a diesel fuel injection training aid that is safe, ergonomic, and representative. The design method employs a human-centered design approach based on Indonesian population anthropometric data and functional hierarchy mapping. Component selection was conducted objectively and measurably using the Weighted Decision Matrix (WDM) method with six evaluation criteria: Cost, Performance, Reliability, Availability, Energy Efficiency, and Safety. The prototype was assembled and functionally tested through visual observation of atomization and injection volume uniformity measurement. The WDM results yielded an optimal configuration: a Bosch pump, diesel nozzle, gasoline engine, metal tank, and UNP 40x40 steel frame. Functional testing demonstrated that the tool successfully visualized the atomization process and uniform fuel distribution across four injectors without the risks of extreme pressure.
