Abstract

Heavy-cargo transportation for Air Separation Unit (ASU) and LNG regasification projects involves interdependent marine-land transfer, roll-on/roll-off (Ro-Ro), ballasting, multi-axle transport, cargo securing, and jack-down activities. This study evaluates the engineering adequacy of the Amman Mineral project method in Sumbawa using the XHL-101 JGC method statement, EPCC Sumbawa route survey, standards, recalculation, and sensitivity analysis. The method is feasible in principle, but operational readiness cannot yet be confirmed. The mismatch between a 15% grade and a 15-degree slope materially increases traction demand, while unaccumulated headwind raises critical LIN Tank utilization to 98.5%. Jacking capacity is nominally adequate, but cargo securing, barge stability, ramp reaction, center of gravity, and route bearing capacity still require acceptance evidence. The framework separates verified data, derived results, assumptions, and hold points for go, conditional-go, or no-go decisions.
