It was first published in 2007 with P-ISSN 1829-6211. Over time, this journal has consistently and regularly been published twice a year, in May and November.
From 2013 until May 2017, Jurnal Manajemen was published in both print and electronic editions. The electronic edition was regularly published through the Open Journal System (OJS2) up to Volume 14, No. 1, and has been indexed in Google Scholar. The journal could be accessed at: http://ojs.atmajaya.ac.id/index.php/JM.
With advancements in IT and the emergence of OJS3, Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia encouraged existing journals to migrate to OJS3. As of July 25, 2017, Jurnal Manajemen has also obtained an E-ISSN (2597-4106), allowing full publication in electronic media. The journal can now be accessed at: http://ejournal.atmajaya.ac.id/index.php/JM.
Since the publication of Volume 14, No. 2 in November 2017, Jurnal Manajemen has been published exclusively with an E-ISSN and has migrated to OJS3, continuing its regular biannual publication schedule. However, all articles from each issue are still uploaded to OJS3 to ensure accessibility through the system.
Peer-Review Process :
All manuscripts submitted to Jurnal Manajemen (JMAN) undergo a double-blind peer review process to ensure the integrity and quality of published research.
The peer-review process begins with the selection of an editor and/or section editor, who conducts an initial assessment to determine whether the manuscript aligns with the journal's focus and scope before proceeding with the reviewer selection. Reviewers are chosen based on their expertise, reputation, and track record in international publications. Once suitable reviewers are identified, the editor or section editor sends formal invitations. Upon confirmation of their availability, reviewer accounts are created within the Open Journal System (OJS), and the manuscript is assigned for review.
Each stage of the review process adheres to a double-blind procedure, ensuring that both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to maintain objectivity and impartiality.
Open Access Policy :
Jurnal Manajemen (JMAN) follows an open-access policy, which aligns with the principle that unrestricted access to research enhances the global exchange of knowledge. As a result, all published content is freely available to the public without any embargo period or subscription requirements.
Plagiarism Policy :
Jurnal Manajemen (JMAN) accepts submissions from authors worldwide. To maintain academic integrity, all submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
The JMAN Editorial Board employs Turnitin software to screen for plagiarism. Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding 20% will be immediately rejected.
Alternatively, submitted manuscripts are compared against a database of published works using Turnitin or other plagiarism detection tools. Initially, Turnitin checks for various levels of similarity, with an acceptable threshold of 2% per detected source and a total similarity limit of 20%. If the manuscript passes this stage, additional verification using other plagiarism detection software and search engines may be conducted to ensure authenticity.
Archiving :
This journal utilizes the LOCKSS and CLOCKSS systems to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration.
