Edukasi Pencegahan Penyebaran Virus COVID-19 melalui Penyediaan Sarana Cuci Tangan dan Masker

Abstract

COVID-19 is an infectious disease caused by the coronavirus. The COVID-19 pandemic has spread throughout the world, including Indonesia. One of the red zone positive cases was Bogor Regency and continues to increase every day. Therefore, education and provision of means to prevent the spread of COVID-19 were needed. This community service activity was aimed to provide understanding and knowledge to residents and mobile traders about prevented the spread of COVID-19 by provided handwashing facilities and masks. Community service activities were carried out at RW 13, Padasuka Village, Ciomas District, Bogor Regency. This activity began with made posters and banners and installed them in strategic places. Also, 100 masks were distributed to mobile traders who were still done activities at RW 13, Ciomas. Handwashing facilities totaling ten sets were provided and placed in strategic places. The counseling and assistance results have succeeded in increasing understanding and instilling new habits for residents and traveling traders regarding the importance of washing hands and wore masks to prevent the spread of COVID-19, especially in Ciomas District. The questionnaire results showed that the participants were enthusiastic and motivated to wash hands and wear the correct mask. Participants would also continue to apply these new habits as long as the COVID-19 pandemic was still threatening in Bogor.
