KECACINGAN MASIH MENGINTAI: EDUKASI MASYARAKAT DAN TUTORIAL PEMERIKSAAN TINJA MELALUI VIDEO YOUTUBE

Infeksi cacing yang ditularkan melalui tanah atau Soil Transmitted Helminths (STH) masih menjadi masalah kesehatan masyarakat global, khususnya di negara tropis dan berkembang seperti Indonesia. Secara global, diperkirakan sekitar 1,5 miliar orang atau hampir 24% populasi dunia terinfeksi STH memerlukan pengobatan serta upaya pencegahan secara berkala. Infeksi STH berdampak signifikan terhadap morbiditas, terutama pada anak usia sekolah. Lingkungan yang tidak bersih, terutama tanah yang lembap dan terkontaminasi feses, dapat menjadi tempat berkembangnya telur dan larva cacing serta meningkatkan risiko penularan. Infeksi yang berulang dapat menyebabkan gangguan gizi, anemia, dan stunting. Deteksi melalui pemeriksaan tinja penting untuk menegakkan diagnosis serta memantau keberhasilan pengobatan dan pencegahan reinfeksi. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan tenaga kesehatan melalui pembuatan video edukasi mengenai infeksi kecacingan dan metode pemeriksaan apusan langsung, Kato-Katz, serta Harada-Mori. Video edukasi diunggah melalui platform YouTube sebagai sarana pembelajaran yang mudah diakses. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap pentingnya pencegahan kecacingan serta membantu tenaga kesehatan dalam melakukan pemeriksaan tinja secara tepat.
