Christine Natalia, Bonifasius Sean Pratama, Elvin Nur Furqon

Abstract:

The increasing popularity of Japanese-origin animation industries or so-called “anime” attracts more interest from already-known fans and ordinary people who are just interested in watching. However, many viewers need advice in the form of recommendations for their preferred anime. This research aims to help viewers by developing a system that could provide some recommendations for several anime series related to the current series watched by the viewers. On the other side, this research could provide a reference to other researchers, especially those whose research focuses on Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Japanese Animation culture. In this paper, the K-Means Clustering method is used to build the clustering model based on the data series, and the Elbow Method is used to determine the appropriate number of clusters. The result of this research indicates that the system can provide several titles of anime series related to the initial title of the anime series entered by the user at each iteration.

W.O. Adedeji, J.K. Olowu, M.K. Adeniran, S. Oyelami, B. Adeboye, J. Rajan, S.A. Oke

Abstract:

This paper proposes three methods for the joint optimization and selection of parameters in controlling the exhaust emission from logistics and packing industries, using the Taguchi-VIKOR, Taguchi-Pareto-VIKOR and Taguchi-ABC-VIKOR methods. From the delta values of the Taguchi method, parameters F, E, A, B, C and D were placed 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th with delta values of 59.0066, 7.5263, 7.5261, 0.1150, 0.1113 and 0.1107, respectively. The delta ratio, delta variability, mean delta value and median delta value are 58.8959, 12.3993 and 3.8206, respectively. Furthermore, the optimal parametric setting is A1B1C1D1E1F1, which means 52 million dollars for revenue, 127 billion packing units, 0.77 optimal growth rate, 1.5 units of materials, 5581 kilotons of quantity consumed and 1 unit of carbon dioxide equivalent of packing materials. The methods are the cornerstone for evaluating the high-performing packing factor associated with greenhouse gas emissions and concurrently obtaining optimized values for packing enterprises to reduce emissions. Besides, and differently from earlier studies, methods such as Pareto, ABC and VIKOR differentiate the alternative coupled Taguchi methods proposed in the literature. In addition, the following novel elements of the Taguchi method are introduced: Delta ratio, delta variability, mean delta value, delta/HOPV, delta/LOPV and delta/AOPV. The results suggest that the developed methods are adequate to represent the optimized values and ranks obtained using the field data set obtained from the literature.

Novi Purnama Sari, Emaregita Indah Patricia, Ganjaryadi, Gabriel

Abstract:

Air fresheners are comfort-supporting products widely used for room freshness. The packaging used by MSME X for air freshener products is only plain plastic without product identity, and it still has shortcomings in terms of functionality such as product protection, ease of use, and ease of obtaining product information. The purpose of this research is to develop concepts and design elements for MSME X air freshener packaging by considering consumer needs. This study analyzed the design of MSME X air freshener packaging using the Kansei Engineering method to translate consumer perceptions of packaging design. The data obtained was processed using Principal Components Analysis (PCA) to analyze the Kansei words collected by questionnaire in order to derive design concepts. The Quantification Theory Type 1 (QTT-1) method was also used to measure the relationship between design elements and design concepts. An evaluation was then conducted using the fuzzy logic method to determine whether the design elements used aligned with the selected concepts. The PCA method in this study resulted in 1 selected Principal Component (PC) which was implemented as a concept, namely "Common and Efficient". Determination of design elements using the QTT1 method resulted in selected elements, namely X1.5 (ivory), X2.9 (oval), X3.9 (hanger + window), X4.1 (medium), X5.6 (sliding tray), X7.4 (directly printed on the packaging) for the Efficient concept and X1.2 (rigid plastic), X2.4 (standing pouch), X3.8 (air hole + hanger), X4.2 (small), X5.7 (flip top), X6.4 (fresh + matching aroma) and X7.5 (no design) for the Common concept.

5. Aspect Ratio-based Taguchi Methods with An Application To the Friction Stir Welding of AA6062-T6 Alloy
Osita Prince Francis, Sunday Ayoola Oke, John Rajan, Ayomide Sunday Abitoye

In this research, a new method of modified Taguchi method based on aspect ratios of the parameters integrated with the present worth method for the determination of optimal parametric setting during the friction stir welding process is proposed. As a cornerstone feature in the optimization procedure, aspect ratios are uniquely formulated where single parameters are replaced with products of parameters, squares of a particular parameter multiplied by a parameter and only squares of each parameter information that represent inputs for the determination of the orthogonal matrix, heading to the optimal parametric setting computations, ranks and delta determination. A wide range of 83 formulations was considered. Unlike previous research, this article accounts for multiple combinations of aspect ratios greater than the mem1ber of parameters present in the factor-level framework in the traditional setting of the Taguchi scheme. A principal result reveals that when the parameters were interchanged from A, B, and C to ABC, A2C, A2 B, A2, B2 and C2, indicating tool till angle, tool rotational speed and welding speed for A, B and C, respectively, the optimal parametric setting was 462000 (0.rpm.mm/min), 990 (0.mm/min), 12600 (0.rpm.90), 1960000rpm, 12100mm/min2. The result assists welding engineers in implementing optimal decisions during friction stir welding activities. The findings of this study stimulate welding engineers to establish sources of poor-quality welds and optimize the outputs while reducing welding costs.

In this global pandemic of infectious diseases such as coronavirus-19 (covid-19), Indonesia is one country which has severe impact. In this situation, medical workers are arguably the most affected as they are the frontline in facing the pandemic. Their dedication and professionalism are put on a tough test, hence they should stay healthy to provide treatment for the patients. However, in facts many of them are infected by the coronavirus albeit the use of standard protective equipment and application of health protocols. In this study, a risk analysis on nurses working in inpatient wards for covid-19 patients in quarantine was carried out. A Method of Human Error Analysis and Reduction Technique (HEART) was employed along with Fault Tree Analysis (FTA). The results indicated that fatigue, comorbid, and boredom were the factors associated with the highest risk of virus infection. These results suggest that management pay attention to these factors in the work design of medical personnel, especially those who treat patients with infectious diseases such as Covid 19. In conclusions, work design must implement appropriate work shifts, as well as the implementation of strict health protocols.

Najahul Imtihan, Ignatius Rendroyoko

In implementing the energy transition, electricity utility companies must be able to carry out future planning to replace electricity infrastructure from a fossil energy-based generation system to clean energy generation and new renewable energy (NRE) to achieve Net Zero Emission (NZE) conditions by 2060. Term planning What has often been done so far is to use forecasting methods, which are made by utilizing historical databases and using many assumptions about economic, social, and environmental conditions, as well as other factors that are easily changed and close to uncertainty. Therefore, planning methods must consider possible changes and uncertainties with several possible scenarios. Scenario planning is planning with a strategic approach that focuses on the process, involving finding optimal strategies for several scenarios that can occur, and this method helps deal with uncertainty. This paper explores the development of alternative scenarios that may occur in 2045, using scenario planning to help electricity utility companies capture opportunities and offset threats. It focuses on formulating broad and innovative strategies for the energy transition in the electricity business.
