History

Metris: Jurnal Sains dan Teknologi was first published in February 2000, Volume 1 No. 1. The first form of publication was the print edition. The name introduced at that time was Metris: Jurnal Sains dan Teknologi; this issue contains articles about engineering and science published periodically for four (4) months. ISSN (International Standard Serial Number) obtained with number 1411-3287 (Print), P-ISSN Decree Issue Number: 34.17/IV.3.05/ISSN/2000, date: Tuesday, February 1, 2000, Science Category: Engineering Science (620). Articles were written in Bahasa Indonesia and English.

In its development, Metris: Jurnal Sains dan Teknologi  has started an Online / Electronic edition on Volume 14 No. 2, June 2013. From then on, the frequency of publications changed to six (6) months. At that time the name of the journal changed to Jurnal Metris. The name of the Jurnal Metris is used in all publications up to Volume 24 No. 2, December 2023. Realizing that the real name registered in the e-ISSN is Metris: Jurnal Sains dan Teknologi, starting from Volume 25 No. 1, June 2024, the official name used is returned to Metris: Jurnal Sains dan Teknologi. Therefore, readers will find a difference in the name of the journal between the publication before Volume 24 No. 2, December 2023 and the publication afterwards.

Metris: Jurnal Sains dan Teknologi is an open-access and peer-reviewed scientific journal that aims to achieve state-of-the-art theory and application related to industrial engineering and management. URL: http://ejournal.atmajaya.ac.id/index.php/metris. E-ISSN Number:2808-4810 (Online - Electronic),  e-ISSN Decree Issue Number: 0005.28084810/K.4/SK. ISSN/2021.10, date: Monday, October 25, 2021. The scientific category remains the same, namely Engineering Science (620), with the languages used being Bahasa Indonesia and English.

Metris: Jurnal Sains dan Teknologi is managed by the Faculty of Engineering, Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia (AJCUI), Department of Industrial Engineering. The management consists of the Editor-in-Chief, Managing Editor, and Editorial Board. The Editorial Board will examine each article and then send it to the peer-reviewer for substance, feasibility, and technical writing assessment using a double-blind review system.

Editor in Chief and Managing Editor are permanent lecturers in the Department of Industrial Engineering, alternately committed to responsibly managing the journal. To ensure accountability and breadth of knowledge, the Editorial Board and Reviewer Team members come from both internal and external AJCUI. The membership of the Editorial Board and the Reviewer Team also changes according to the willingness of the reviewer and the development of scientific insights needed.

 

Metris: Jurnal Sains dan Teknologi has been indexed on Garuda and Google Scholar and accredited by Sinta 5.
