Hubungan lokus kontrol internal dengan regulasi diri pada mahasiswa Sekolah Tinggi Agama Budha (STAB) Maha Prajna Jakarta

Abstrak    Lokus kontrol internal adalah keyakinan untuk menentukan keberhasilan diri sendiri berdasarkan kemampuan memilih kegiatan, tanggung jawab atas keputusan, kemampuan mengendalikan perubahan, kemampuan mengendalikan lingkungan dengan mencari informasi, kemampuan koping terhadap stres, kepuasaan belajar dengan menunjukkan prestasi, dan motivasi belajar berdasarkan ekspektasi.Regulasi diri adalah kemampuan seseorang untuk mengatur dirinya sendiri berdasarkan self-monitoring, self-instruction, self-motivation, dan self-evaluation. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan lokus kontrol internal dengan regulasi diri. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah skala penilaian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hubungan yang signifikan dan positif antara lokus kontrol internal dan regulasi diri mahasiswa.Kata kunci: lokus kontrol internal, regulasi diriAbstractInternal locus of control is one’s conviction determines success based on the ability to choose the activities, the responsibility of their own decisions, the ability to control over the changes, the ability to control his/her environment by searching for new information, the ability to cope with the stress, the satisfaction of learning by showing performance, and the motivation for study. Self-regulation is the one’s effort to control his/her behavior which can be specified by self-monitoring, self-instruction, self-motivation, and self-evaluation. The goal of this study is to discover the relationship of the internal control locus with self-regulation. The instrument used was a rating scale. The result indicated a significant and positive correlation between the internal locus of control and self-regulation. Key words: internal locus of control, self regulation
