APPLICATION OF NRIMO ING PANDUM CULTURE IN A RATIONAL EMOTIVE BEHAVIOR THERAPY (REBT) APPROACH TO REDUCING SELF INJURY-ADOLESCENT

Self injury is a form of behavior carried out by individuals as an effort to reduce emotional pain and disappointment, this is not done with the intention of committing suicide, but only as an action that can transfer inner pain and emotional disappointment to others. wounds made to body parts resulting from self-injury. The aims of this research are (1) to determine the factors that can influence self-injury in adolescents and (2) to determine the application of the culture of caring for teenagers in the REBT approach to reduce self-injury behavior in adolescents. This article was written using a literature review by examining various relevant literature. The existence of this literature review can be used by counselors and other researchers to increase insight regarding the concept of implementing a nrimo ing pandum culture in the REBT approach to reduce self-injury behavior in adolescents. The research results show that there are several factors that influence adolescent self-injury, including individual personality, individual psychology, family, environment, parenting patterns and romantic relationships. There are efforts that can be made to reduce self-injury by using the REBT approach containing Nerimo Ing Pndum's cultural values, the steps for implementing which have been explained. Suggestions for further researchers are to carry out the effectiveness of the REBT approach containing Nerimo Ing Pndum cultural values to reduce adolescent self-injury.
