Abstract

Gadgets are technology created by humans to make life easier. One of the benefits that can be obtained from the device is to help students to search for study materials, books, and watch learning videos. But gadgets also have negative sides, such as; games and scams. The purpose of the research to be achieved is to know the impact from the use of gadgets to the characters who like to read VD class students at SD Strada Bina Mulia 1. The type of research used is quantitative with techniques data collection (questionnaire), the data analysis technique used is a regression test simple. The results of this study show the impact of the use of devices on the character of likes read obtained value of Y=13.314+0.652X, supported by value significance 0.000<0.05 and t-count test 8.103>2.048. Teachers can guide students to consistently use devices as a tool that can train their love of reading, and schools can help provide digital reading and ease of access for students.
